Privacy Policy

AURA ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the AURA app.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following information to provide the service:

Account data: email address used to create your account (via Supabase Auth)
Face data (selfie photos): portrait photos you capture or upload within the app. These images contain your facial features and are used solely to generate AI-transformed portrait images and videos. Face data is transmitted to Google AI for processing and temporarily stored on our servers (Supabase, EU region) for the duration of the generation request. Uploaded selfies are retained in your account storage until you delete them or your account. We do not use face data to identify individuals, build facial recognition systems, or for any purpose other than AI image generation.
Purchase data: in-app purchase transactions processed via Apple's App Store and RevenueCat. We do not store payment details.
Credit balance: the number of credits associated with your account.
Usage data: generation requests and app activity, used to improve the service.

2. How We Use Your Information

To authenticate your account and maintain your session
To process your photo editing and generation requests
To track and apply your credit balance
To fulfill in-app purchases and restore them when needed
To improve app performance and fix issues

3. Face Data — Collection, Use, and Sharing

What we collect: When you use the generation features, AURA collects the selfie photos (portrait images containing facial features) that you explicitly upload or capture within the app.

How it is used: Face data is used exclusively to generate AI-transformed portrait images and cinematic videos as requested by you. It is not used for facial recognition, identity verification, advertising, or any other purpose.

Third-party sharing: Your selfie is transmitted to Google AI (via the Gemini API) solely to perform the image/video generation you requested. Google processes this data as a data processor on our behalf and does not use it to train AI models or for any independent purpose. See Google's Privacy Policy.

Storage: Uploaded selfies and generated images are stored on Supabase servers (EU region) and are associated with your account. Generated outputs are retained so you can access them within the app.

Retention: Face data (selfie photos) is retained for as long as your account is active or until you delete the images manually within the app. Upon account deletion, all associated face data and generated content is permanently deleted within 30 days.

By using AURA's generation features, you explicitly consent to your photo being processed by Google AI for the sole purpose of completing your generation request.

4. AI Processing & Third-Party Services

AURA uses the following third-party services:

Google AI (Gemini & Veo) — portrait image and video generation (policies.google.com/privacy)
Supabase — authentication, database, and file storage (supabase.com/privacy)
RevenueCat — in-app purchase management (revenuecat.com/privacy)
Apple App Store — payment processing (apple.com/legal/privacy)

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on secure servers provided by Supabase (EU region). We implement industry-standard measures to protect your information. Photos submitted for processing are handled transiently and are not retained after your request is fulfilled.

6. Data Retention

Account data is retained for as long as your account is active. Face data (selfie photos) and generated content are retained until you delete them or close your account, at which point all data is deleted within 30 days. You may request deletion at any time by contacting us.

7. Children's Privacy

AURA is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, including face data. To exercise these rights, contact us at the email below.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via the app or by updating the date at the top of this page.
